Fences are not immune to aging. Whether it’s due to the elements, automobile accidents, or some other unforeseen circumstances, a fence can (and most likely will) need to be repaired from time to time. Whatever the reason, Apex Fence is ready to help get you back to full strength whether we installed the fence originally or not.
Our team can help assess and repair all types of fencing from chain link to iron, from wood to vinyl. If the fence is beyond repair, we can also help replace it.
Here are a few things our experts can help you with:
Should you repair the fence or replace the fence?
Fence repair often sounds like the less expensive option but that’s not always the case. If you are dealing with a fence that was run down by a huge storm or natural disaster, for example, then a repair may be more tedious and complicated. A simple cost-benefit analysis can help clarify whether a replacement is more affordable than a repair.
Short-term versus long-term damage
Not all damage is created equal and that’s true when it comes to fencing, as well. It’s easy to picture a fence that’s been run over by a truck or toppled by a fallen tree but what about damage caused by aging and the elements? Oftentimes people don’t notice when a wood fence has rotted in areas or when a chain link fence or iron fence has rusted. Our experts can help identify and address these concerns along with you.
Wood Fence Repair
Like any other wood project, wood fence maintenance is real. Wood fences can rot just like a wood deck or the wood used to frame a house. Termites can also be an issue, albeit a less common one. Apex Fence can help with replacing slats or pickets or posts. We can let you know if your fence boards are holding up or if they are a problem. If so, we can help replace the fence.
Chain Link Fence Repair
Chain link fences are strong but not immune to damage. Rust happens. We can assess the fence and see if the damaged areas need to be replaced or if it would be cheaper to replace the whole thing.
A chain link fence can also be damaged by the ground shifting due to weather, by falling trees, or even car collisions. Sometimes a bent post can be replaced without needing to replace anything more. Likewise, broken or torn chain link mesh might be able to be cut out and replaced.
Wrought Iron Fence Repair
The most durable material when it comes to fencing but also not immune to damage. Wrought iron is also difficult to repair without the help of a professional.
Vinyl Fence Repair
Vinyl fencing is the most forgiving when it comes to needing repair because it (a.) doesn’t get affected by rot or termites and (b.) is less likely damaged by weather. Barring an accident that wipes out a large swath of the fence, repairing this should be fairly easy.
